THE ROLE OF MATHEMATICS WITH PHILOSOPHY


        In college philosophy to be one of the courses studied. Philosophy in college is different from philosophy in everyday life. Philosophy discussed here is more specific PT. For example, in mathematics education, philosophy is the philosophy of mathematics education. In mathematics education, studying philosophy is to learn the mind of the philosopher. In our study the minds of philosophers, we will understand the philosophy of it. Besides philosophical thinking in the corridors is spiritual, ethical and aesthetic. Cladding of the philosophizing is courtesy of space and time. In philosophy we learned there and cover that may exist.
        Studied philosophy in college will help teachers to be able to apply the philosophy of learning in schools. According to the Ebbutt and Straker, the nature of school mathematics includes 4 things: a) patterns/ relationships, b) problem solving activities, c) investigative activities, and d) communication activities. The application of mathematical nature of the school is one of philosophy's role in learning at school.
By the nature of school mathematics is expected students will be able to construct their own math. Students are required to be more creative and active in the learning process so that teachers could act as a companion to learning, while students construct their own math.
        Philosophy as the science of all sciences, the application of learning in the school of philosophy to be one thing that attracts attention. Why is that? Because usually there are only philosophy in college, but today there is also a school of philosophy. Though only as a complement to learning, but the philosophy of providing great influence in learning at school. Philosophy is the activity of thinking, so that in any philosophy student learning activities.
        With the implementation of the teaching of philosophy in schools, the teaching and learning process will be carried out effectively and efficiently. Philosophy of providing benefits for teachers and students. For the teacher, with the philosophy lessons, the teachers will better understand the character of his students. Studying philosophy is thinking, so that teachers can know the extent of the mindset of his students to understand mathematics. In philosophy lessons, character education is also included in it. Character education includes the material, formal, normative and spiritual. And learning in the school, the fourth factor is one of philosophy's role in learning at school.
For students, the philosophy of providing new knowledge. Perhaps ever before they have never heard of and know about the philosophical and on this occasion the students learn about philosophy. By learning philosophy, the student becomes an independent person. Students learn to construct their own math with the help of the teacher. Thus, an understanding of students with other students is not the same, depending on their abilities.
        Based on the above, it is clear that the philosophy was instrumental in mathematics learning. In fact they have a very close relationship. Therefore, learning should always adhere to the philosophy of mathematics to solve problems in it.
